Thank you for your interest in mentoring the next generation of urban planners and designers at our Networking Days and Virtual Office Hours. Applicants selected as mentors will be contacted with next steps, including dates and role assignments based on your availability and expertise.
Who we're looking for: We welcome applications from professionals across planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, community development, policy, and adjacent fields. Whether you're early in your career or a seasoned practitioner, your perspective is valuable to our students.
What to expect: At Networking Days, mentors serve in two complementary roles—Pitch Reviewer (one-on-one feedback on student team drafts) and Speed Networker (brief conversations about your career journey with students). Depending on each session's needs, you may be assigned to one role, or a mix of both. At Virtual Office Hours, you'll mentor individual teams in breakout rooms, diving deeper into their design thinking and providing tailored guidance.
Compensation: Selected mentors receive an honorarium for each session:
- Networking Days: $65 per session
- Virtual Office Hours: $50 per session
